How to read the range
The calculator multiplies normalised earnings by an industry multiple band, then adjusts for owner dependence, recurring revenue and customer concentration. It shows enterprise value: the operating business, before adding surplus cash and deducting debt. Where a real business lands inside the band, or outside it, depends on evidence the calculator cannot see.
What a signed report adds
- Verified normalised earnings, with every add-back explained and sourced.
- Evidence for the multiple: the risks and comparables specific to your business, not a generic band.
- The bridge from enterprise value to the value of your shares: working capital, surplus assets, debt and cash.
- Whether an earnings approach is even the right method. Asset-heavy, loss-making and high-growth businesses often need a different lens.
- A stated purpose, basis, date and limitations, so buyers, partners, advisers and courts can rely on it.
A standard signed report is $1,495 + GST for suitable matters, with the fee fixed before we start. See all fees
