One scoping call, then a fixed fee in writing
Tell us what is moving, why, at what date and who will rely on the report. We confirm the basis of value, the information required and a fixed fee within one business day, addressed to you or to your client as you prefer. Nothing starts until the engagement is accepted.
Written to be reviewed
Every adjustment has a reason and a source. The multiple is explained against the risks of the business rather than asserted. The bridge from enterprise value to equity value is a schedule, not a sentence. If you disagree with an assumption, the report shows you exactly where it sits and what it moves.
Common referral situations
| Situation | What we need from you | Typical scope |
|---|---|---|
| Restructure or related-party transfer | Transaction outline, entities, date, the basis your advice requires. | Market value of the business or shares at the transaction date, with the evidence documented. |
| Shareholder buyout under an agreement | The agreement or constitution, the parcel, the mechanism it prescribes. | Value of the parcel on the agreed basis, with control and marketability addressed explicitly. |
| Sale preparation or offer review | Recent accounts, the proposed structure, any offer received. | Enterprise and equity value with normalised earnings and working capital analysed. |
| Family law negotiation | Instructions, intended use, any directions or timetable. | Preliminary or formal report as instructed; court expert work scoped separately. |
| Estate, succession or family arrangement | Ownership, the interest passing, the relevant date. | Value of the interest at the date, often historical. |
How we keep you in the loop
- The engagement letter names the instructing party and the intended users.
- Information requests go through you, or directly to the client, as you choose.
- You see the draft for factual review before it is finalised.
- We are available to walk through the report with you or your client, at no extra charge.
- Conflicts are checked before acceptance, and we say so if we cannot act.
What we do not do
We do not give legal, tax or financial advice, we do not broker transactions, and we do not pay or receive referral fees. The report values the defined interest within the agreed scope; you advise on what follows from it.
General information only. Each engagement is scoped and quoted individually.
